Melissa Robinson

 

 

Melissa Robinson is a native of Alexander city, Alabama. As the daughter of a preacher and
youth director, she was reared in the church where she taught Sunday school, Bible study, and
liturgical dance. The church is where she gained her love for children. With an Associate degree
in Early Childhood Education, B.S. in Liberal Studies concentration in human development and
family studies, Melissa continues to uplift the community by educating the youth and parents.
Melissa is a 4-time STEM Day winner with research regarding parenting styles, racism, and
gender inequality. Published research in the Alabama Academy of Science titled Damsels in
Distress: Health Disparities against African American Women. Member of the National Council on
Family relations, AAFC, NEA, and other organizations.
